don broco at alexandra palace – 11 November 2017

music monday /

i absolutely adore don broco so i had been looking forward to this gig for ages.

a bit of background, don broco are a four piece rock band from bedford. formed around 2008 and have since released two albums.

the first album, priorities, was released in 2012 and was greatly received (by me anyway). their more recent album, automatic, was released 2015 (another one well received by me).

earlier this year, the guys announced a one off london date at alexandra palace and have since released the rest of the UK dates for this tour which are taking place february 2018.

their setlist for the night was as follows:

what you do to me
hold on
you wanna know
stay ignorant
whole truth (acoustic)
yeah man (first verse and chorus acoustic)
thug workout
i got sick
money power fame
t-shirt song

and to say i loved it was an understatement. they had the right mix of songs from both of the albums, even playing songs that they haven’t in the past like further.

alexandra palace is an amazing venue anyway, but it just felt right having don broco take the stage.

just before their final song, a couple got engaged on stage which was super cute and romantic and was also a very good segue into their final songĀ pretty, whose video is wedding themed.

lead singer, rob damiani, is always a fantastic front man and the rest of the guys, si, tom, and matt always put on a good performance on guitar, bass guitar and drums respectively.

i’m currently listening to their latest song on repeat and thinking of how to see them on their 2018 tour.
